25/26 Snowmobile Season is Near!!

September 2025 Newsletter
Hey Lake Tahoe Snowmobile family! Your club President Scott here welcoming September in with open arms and getting excited to say hello to a new snowmobile season. I hope everyone had a safe and short summer or is enjoying every bit of it they can. Things the President has to say, I stayed busy with work and shuttling Teegan around to golf courses most of the summer but have had you all on my mind since we parked the sleds. How do we continue to grow our community? How can we better serve our loyal club members? How can we find ways to bring in new riders or get the ones that have supported from distance closer to being active members? Those are a few of the questions that sit with me all year round. Then a light bulb went off… NEW MERCH!! Haha more on that later.

It is hard to believe we are entering our 7th season as an official 501c3 Non Profit organization, or maybe 6th? July of 2019 an ambitious group of us came together to help Taylor Dolph put this in motion. A lot has changed since then, the snowmobiles all have turbos now, members have come and went, many lessons learned and a ton of good memories stacked up. Our Board of Directors have always done their best to adapt to a wide range of situations as volunteers from land management politics, fundraising, social media managers, catering services, event planning, mechanics, rescuers, educators, leadership and any number of conflict de-escalation negotiations for either plowing parking or posting on Facebook.

It takes an army to make this work and I’m thankful for everyone that plays a part in that. Our board this year had some changes in June elections including one member stepping down and the secretary position opening. Myself, Nina, Todd, Chris, Sean and Phil all remain steadfast in putting together a fun season of meetups and events. After the snowmelt and the unfortunate postponement of Slednanigans Two till TBD, we are all working to find suitable venues to host our array of growing events. We are still sorting out many event details and finding new ways to support our great club sponsors, partners and members. A few key events below while we get our official schedule ready for sharing. Volunteers needed and welcome for all events, board of directors or donors, if you would like to support please reach out!
· Braap Bash – Nov 8th, at The Eddy in Reno, NV
· 3rd Saturday monthly meet ups – N Lake/ S Lake alternating
· SAC/LTS Snow Hard Enduro (Name TBD, location TBD, Spring 26)
· Slednanigans Two/ Feeder 500 – Spring 26 – Anyone have an in at Boreal?
· LTS Show and Shine, Swap meet, Riding Clinic – Proposed
· Board meeting 1st Tue or Wed of the Month - https://bit.ly/LTSBoardMeeting

The club had several social media accounts running in years prior that became troublesome to manage the content. For the future the best way to stay informed is to have an active membership with your email account you check for non social media members (sometimes they get spam filed if not checked and approved) or follow our only Facebook Page and join the club members only FB group. I personally operate the Instagram page but it is not an official path of communication, we run a little looser over there… I will repost if the music and activity is relatively appropriate. The board can all be reached at info@laketahoesnowmobilers.com
Oh, I almost forgot, THE MERCH!! Pre order form link is here LTS 2026 Merch pre order form for pictured items below, I hope you all love the gear. We believe doing a pre order gets everyone exactly the size and color they want, without the club having to over order and store it. Pre orders will help us meet min order quantity and save everyone money but some color option may not be available if not enough people order them. We will contact you if you select one. My son has the heavyweight hoodie and it is NICE NICE! We have holdover hats from 2024 but if there is enough interest in a new hat option, the company we are working with for merch has some great options if we can get min quantity met. We are a snowmobile club not a merch company.
That was a lot to get going but with our secretary position open, I have set a goal to get a monthly newsletter type communication out to everyone this season to keep the community informed. If the pow train checks into Tahoe, the letter will be delayed! Pray for snow and can’t wait to see everyone again while we enjoy one of Phil and Bob’s awesome breakfast burritos 😊
Upcoming EventsMerch Pre Order ends 9/17We are very excited and thankful for all of our members who have made this club possible. All the merch details are in the link above, you can pay after we order. Our goal is to make this club exactly what the members are looking for. If you have any ideas or suggestions on ways the club can help the snowmobile community we would love to give you a path to put your volunteer helmet on and make it happen! Thank you again for your support.

Put BRAAP BASH 2025 on your calendar for NOV 8th 3pm to 9pm @ The Eddy in Reno, NVLTS Mountain Forest 2-1
