Truckee Optimist Christmas Tree Cutting: Volunteers Needs THIS Saturday

The Truckee Optimist club is a local non-profit that fundraises in order to support local youth sports and scholarship local youth who go to vocational or trade school after high-school. Many of their members are snowmobilers but not yet members of the Lake Tahoe Snowmobilers. This Saturday, November 7, 2020, the Truckee Optimist club will be Christmas tree cutting for our lot that is in the Save Mart parking lot each year where we usually raise around $30,000. We are in need of a small handful of people with chainsaws, a small handful of trucks with trailers to haul back trees, and 5-10 people to drag cut trees, load them in truck and on trailers, and unload them in Truckee when we are done. This would be a great opportunity for the Lake Tahoe Snowmobilers to show a presence of support for our local youth. Who knows, perhaps Truckee Optimist will sponsor a youth event for us in the future. Perhaps they'll provide one of our youth a scholarship when they go to vocational or trade school. Perhaps we'll get our name out there and gain new members for the Lake Tahoe Snowmobilers. If you're interested in helping, contact Todd Wold 805-944-7112.
