LTS applied for three grants last season. We received money from two of the three grants. Listed below with links to the programs.
Truckee Tahoe Airport Sponsorship Program : Through this program LTS received $750 to put towards an avalanche safety program.
Truckee Rotary Community Foundation: Through their grant program LTS retrieved $1000 to put towards an avalanche safety program.
OHMVR PROGRAM: LTS applied for a grant through the OHMVR program and the grant was approved but the program's funds were depleted before we received any. This was a good experience for the club in general and was not a total loss but rather a learning lesson in the grant writing process. We will apply for it again next year with a better description of our safety program and how it will be used.
The board would like to recognize Todd Wold and Nina Clifton.
Todd is an active member of the LTS community. He personally took on the role of helping the board through the grant writing process. Benefiting the club & community with stability. His dedication to the club and sport is greatly appreciated.
Nina is a founding LTS Executive Board member and an active philanthropic member of our community. She was instrumental in searching for, applying, and securing our first three grants from community partners.
The money raised from these programs was put towards the purchase of the ARVAS6 Avalanche training system.
